The company was founded by two researchers with large experience in biotechnology, pharmaceutical and cosmetics sectors, Pr. Eric Gontier and Pr. Frédéric Bourgaud, who developed the PAT Plant Milking Technology at INPL-INRA laboratory in Nancy , and by Jean-Paul Fèvre, former seeds research director at EURALIS Group.
Pr. Eric Gontier, scientific committee member, shareholder. After teaching at INPL in Nancy for 10 years, Pr. Eric Gontier has moved recently to Picardie Jules Verne University in Amiens ( France ), still in charge of plant biotechnology and non-food plant valorisation (physiology / biotechnology). Pr. Eric Gontier is co-inventor of “PAT Plant Milking” patent. Pr. Eric Gontier is also scientific advisor on biotechnology for several international groups.
Pr. Frédéric Bourgaud , scientific committee member, shareholder. Pr. Frédéric Bourgaud is ENSAIA agronomy & environment laboratory vice director, (INPL-INRA joint research unit in Nancy ), “plant secondary metabolites” research director, scientific advisor for several large cosmetic groups, scientific committee member for ITEIPMAI (French technical Institute for industrial, cosmetic and pharmaceutical plants). Pr. Frédéric Bourgaud is co-inventor of “PAT Plant Milking” patent.
Jean-Paul Fèvre, President and CEO , shareholder . Former seed research director with Euralis group / Sanofi, Jean-Paul Fèvre is ISA Lille ag. engineer and has a large experience in licensing and international research operations. He was corn research director for King (Sanofi seeds subsidiary in Canada ) from 1990 to 1994. He joined Pau Euralis in 1995 as CEO of Pau Seeds Inc. (Seeds research company of Pau Euralis Group in USA ). Then he took the direction of the South European corn research program in France from 1996 to 2003 and the presidency of Pau Seeds Inc (USA) and Pau Semillas ( Argentina ). Jean-Paul Fèvre left Euralis Group in 2003 and joined Pr.Eric Gontier and Pr. Frédéric Bourgaud to start the PAT project in 2004.
Benoît Mignard, PAT Plant Milking R&D engineer. Benoît Mignard is ENSAIA agronomist engineer. Benoît was one of the first students involved on the development of the PAT project during his cursus and developed analytical methods for the first industrial customers. Naturally he joined the company to bring his knowledge and experience.
Flore Biteau, PAT Recombinant Protein R&D engineer. Flore Biteau is ENSAIA agronomist engineer and she is training her PhD on recombinant proteins at INPL-ENSAIA in collaboration with Plant Advanced Technologies SA. Flore was awarded in 2006 by French academy of Agriculture for the quality of her Master study.
Jean-Marc Lainé, PAT Plant Milking R&D engineer. Jean-Marc Lainé is an agronomist engineer in charge of greenhouses plantations and the industrial PAT process. He was serving as director of production and in-vitro lab director in differents larges horticulture french companies. Jean-Marc Lainé is bringing his outstanding experience and background in horticulture production and plant multiplication to the company.
Sissi Miguel, PAT Recombinant Protein R&D engineer. Sissi Miguel joined the company beginning of 2008. She just graduated last year her Master degree from Strasbourg University in France on plant bio-engineering and plant natural substances.
